 2010 BYAA Tackle Football Information

Teams: Based on a players grade entering in the fall of 2010.

    Grade                     Registration Fee         Late Fee (after June 30th)

    3rd/4th Grade                 $175                             $25

    6th Grade                         $180                             $25

    7th Grade                         $195                             $25

    8th Grade                         $200                             $25


 3rd/4th, and 5th grade teams are allowed 4 contacts (practices + games) per week. Games are scheduled for Saturdays starting August 21st through the end of October at Sandstone in Longmont.

6th and 7th grade teams are allowed 5 contacts (practices + games) per week. Games are scheduled for Saturdays starting August 21st through October at area Middle schools, including home games at Turner. 7th Graders will also have one home Wednesday night game at BHS.

8th grade teams are allowed 6 contacts (practices + games) per week. Games are scheduled for Saturdays starting August 21st through October at area Middle schools, including home games at Turner. 8th Graders will also have one home Wednesday night game at BHS.

Schedule:

Registration: Online April 19th – June 30th

Late Registration: July 1st – July 30th a $25 late fee will be added to late registrations

Coaches Application Deadline – April 30

Coaches Selection Complete – June 15

Coaches Meeting – June 29th

Parents/Players/Coaches Meeting – July 22nd 7:00pm - 8:30pm Berthoud Community Center

2010 BYAA Football Camp – July 26th – July 30th 5:00pm – 7:00pm Turner Middle School

Practices Start – August 2nd

Equipment Checkout in Longmong August 7th

LYFA Open Scrimmage - August 14th  at Sandstone 


Games Start - August 21st

Season Ends – End of October

Registration:

All Registrations will be done online. Detailed Registration information will be provided at a later date. Online registration will open April 19th.

Rosters:

It is the intent of the BYAA to form a team for each grade level.
 
        Minimum roster: 16 players
        Final Roster Maximium: 23 

Final Rosters will be capped at 23 players. If there are enough players at any grade level to form more than one Berthoud team, two teams will be formed.

It is the intention of the BYAA to make sure all players are placed on a team and given the opportunity to participate. Should a roster fill and there not be enough players to form a second team:

    The BYAA will attempt to place players on a higher grade team, with     parent, coach and  BYAA approval. 

    Players registering late (post June 30th) will be placed on a waiting list     and will receive the lowest priority to be placed on a roster.

     If necessary a tryout will be conducted by the BYAA the week of July 26-    30th.

Fee's:

At registration players may choose to pay all registration fee's in full, or pay a $50 deposit.

$50 of the upfront registration fee is not refundable with one exception, If a player registers, and the BYAA can not place that player on a Roster the full registration fee will be re-funded.

Final Payment of all players fee's are due by July 23rd, 2010. Players will not be allowed to participate until registration fee's are paid in full.

Practices:

Practice Schedules will be developed by each teams coaching staff in cooperation with the director of football. Head Coaches will communicate practice schedules to the Players and Parents.

3rd/4th, and 5th Grade Teams will practice at Berthoud Elementary

6th, 7th, and 8th grade Teams will practice at Turner Middle School.

Practice fields are available Monday – Friday 4:00pm – 8:00pm. All practices are limited to a maximum of 2 hours in duration.

Physicals:

All players must submit a physical from a registered health care provider. Players will not be allowed to participate in any physical activities until the director of football receives a copy of the players physical. All physicals must be current and dated within the 12 month period in which a player will participate.

Equipment:

The BYAA will provide: Helmet, Shoulder Pads, Practice Jersey, Game Jersey.

Players shall provide: Mouth Piece, White Pants with Pads, Socks, Shoes, and any additional equipment such as gloves, arm pads, flack jackets...
